Kaplan Leadership Program Scholars

Bolaji James received his associate’s degree in vision care at New York City College of Technology after coming to the U.S. from Nigeria. He was accepted at six different senior colleges, including Connecticut College and Skidmore, and decided on Morehouse College. “My expectations about life have changed drastically. It’s no longer about getting a job just to pay the bills. It’s about having some impact on the world, about discovering what I’m passionate about in life and sharing that with others.”
