Veronica Nuñez-Baret moved to the U.S. from the Dominican Republic in 2005. In 2010, Veronica graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Educational Studies. Veronica began her college career at Queensborough Community Collegewhere she completed a degree in Liberal Arts and Science in 2008. Veronica was active on Queensborough's campus where she served as the president of that college's chapter of Phi Theta Kappa honor society and completed a summer study abroad in child psychology in Denmark. Today, Veronica is a licensed early childhood teacher at Prospect Kids Academy in Brooklyn, NY. As she considers graduate studies, Veronica hopes to combine her interests in child psychology, family counseling and curriculum development in order to better serve children in underserved communities. She would like to play an instrumental role in establishing orphanages in Latin America that prepare children to succeed in life.
