Rosa Frias grew up in Colombia. At the age of 13, she lost her mother to cancer and thus experienced firsthand the importance of preventive healthcare and prompt medical intervention. Rosa moved to New York City with her father in 2007, where she enrolled at Kingsborough Community College as a Liberal Arts major. After graduating in 2011, Rosa transferred toMount Holyoke College where she is a Neuroscience & Behavior Pre-Med major. Rosa would like to become a surgeon, be a leader in the care of terminally ill cancer patients, and provide healthcare to cancer patients in developing countries.
