Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society member Kaire Colwell is majoring in accounting at LaGuardia Community College. As a member Kaire meets with faculty and students to provide feedback on honors courses. He credits his grandmother for constantly pushing him to achieve his best. Kaire is an Academic Peer Instruction tutor in accounting and has worked part-time with the Police Athletic League where he coached a neighborhood basketball team of 12 year-olds. He would like to give back to his community by establishing a non-profit organization that offers free financial education in low-income areas.
