Enoch Sowah, 19, moved to the US in 2009.The Ghana native was a skilled member of his high school's debate club, where he developed a passion for understanding world events, and the power of dialogue to resolve conflict.  While pursuing his associate's degree in liberal arts at Hostos Community College, Enoch is participating in the Hostos Leadership Academy, the Accelerated Studies in Associate Program, and represented Hostos at the Model United Nations this year.  Enoch would like to be a diplomat and medical doctor.  He would like to serve as a bridge between governments and their communities to ensure disease prevention, and establish public health policies that take into consideration the needs of the government and the well-being of the people it serves.
