Alexis Dyer is the proud mother of a two-year old boy named Elijah. Born to West Indian parents and raised in New York City, Alexis is interested in providing access to prenatal health care to young women in underserved communities. After completing her associate’s degree in the liberal arts at Kingsborough Community College, Alexis wants to transfer to a four-year school that will provide her with the skills to advocate, educate, and care for expectant mothers as a midwife.
